Prepping an Alpha
Today started off early but not crushingly so – I managed to sleep until 5:30 and the kids were later than usual as well. By the time the whole crew was awake, it was time for Dana to take Thomas off to his athletics class at the Y, and Lindsey tagged along. So it was just the older two for classes in the morning, which I interspersed with catching up on some desk work.
When Dana got home I headed out to the grocery store and restocked the pantry, which was somewhat overdue. So it wasn’t until early afternoon that I was writing code. Fortunately I hit my stride pretty early, because there was plenty to do. After a little bit of time on some other projects, I focused on one client who’s trying to launch an alpha tomorrow.
I worked through until 10PM, with the help of one of my subcontractors, but things were in pretty good shape by the time we were done. In the middle there I broke to serve dinner to kids – barbecue chicken, chips, fruit. Dana was off to karate tonight, doing more practice for her upcoming black belt test.
