Site Deployed

Up at 5:30, not feeling my best but there was work to be done. Fortunately the little bit of congestion I started the day with vanished as time went on. Whatever low-level crud the kids have is affecting me just a bit.

Today was mainly about clearing paperwork off my desks, virtual and real. I spent a lot of things dealing with things like subcontractor payments and tax returns, but at least I got it all out of the way. There’s still a stack of paperwork on my desk but it’s only a few sheets high now.

Dana took Thomas to camp this morning and stayed out to pick him up. The rest of us did some light schoolwork, but I didn’t stress over it. Had a phone call with another developer I’m mentoring at 10AM and that was when we called it good for the day.

I managed to get the new RailsBridge site deployed, after finally figuring out what stupid thing I was doing yesterday and fixed it. I also got through some client work and a bunch of sales followup, though today wasn’t great on the billable front.

For dinner, we had soft tacos and chips, which went over well with the small fry. After dinner and bathtime, Adam and I spent an hour or so playing Amoeba Wars – an old Avalon Hill board game that I still had laying around. We both enjoyed it, so perhaps there is more of that in our future.
