Late Night Bug Fix

The kids let me sleep till almost 6AM this morning – hooray. Then it was right back into things, of course. This is not a lie-around-and-relax sort of a household. After I got the bulk of my writing done for the day, the next order of business was to do some more server maintenance. I have a whole checklist of things that I want to do as part of overhauling our servers, and I’m slowly working through them.

From there, I moved to deploying the big chunk of code that I spent most of the weekend building. I hit a few rough patches and had to revise some things, but eventually I had it all in place and running. Client is happy.

Dana and Adam went out to karate, and the rest of us had burgers and fruit for dinner (except for Lindsey, who opted for a hot dog instead). After dinner, I worked on another coding project and then put the younger kids to bed.

I was just about out for the night when Dana reported an intractable problem on one of the sites she was working on. I came back downstairs and lent another pair of eyes to the problem, helped solve it, and then really did go to bed.
