Plenty of Code
I was back up at 5:30 again. With kids, I never really have to worry about oversleeping. Today was mostly about writing code. I spent a good while with an open-source plugin, trying to move the state of the art along. I also put in a good day at client work, tidying up a batch of things that need to ship tomorrow.
Most of the kids played out in the yard this afternoon. Adam continues to prefer his computer. He gets plenty of exercise on karate days, anyhow.
I almost broke down and bought an iPhone today, but then I took a hard look at the numbers. I’m not away from my desk often enough to really need a mobile phone, and the prospects for making any money off it – by writing software or reviews – are marginal. I don’t need to spend a couple of thousand dollars for that, no matter how pretty a toy it is.
For dinner, I got lazy and made pizza. Kids ate.
Eventually, it was time to put the brood to bed and then do a bit of lifting.
