Herb Shopping

I slept soundly until 6 or so and then got back to things. As usual, writing for the two sites where I’m having stuff published daily, plus managing morning schoolwork, took me until about lunchtime. After lunch, the whole family headed out for a spot of shopping. First we stopped at Target and got Kayla a booster seat – it’s time for her to move up from the car seat, and she’s happy about that. Then it was downtown Newburgh where we visited the Newburgh country store, a somewhat touristy-trap place that does, however, have a good selection of flowers and herbs. We bought a bunch of stuff to plant there.

Back home, I immersed myself in a Javascript programming project for the rest of the day. It’s coming along, but this is definitely not my core competency.

Dinner featured baked trout, rice, and peas. This one went over well with everyone, and after dinner we allowed the kids to gorge themselves on penny candy from the store.
