Garage Sale
I was up a bit before 6AM today. So was Dana, which is a bit unusual. But today was the big neighborhood garage sale, and whoever was in charge of it decreed that it run from 7AM to 2PM. Along with Dana, our friend Deb came over to help out and sell some of her own stuff. And Kayla and Adam took turns manning their lemonade and snack stand. They sold a bunch of snacks, though no lemonade, and may even make back their investment – depends on how sales go tomorrow at the second day. Either way, they’re having an educational experience.
The landscapers had a whole bunch of stone delivered today for retaining walls and patios, which will start going in next week. I’m glad I don’t have to haul it around.
Meanwhile, I rode herd on kids, did a bit of coding, and spent some more time on the phone with a couple of customers. The week didn’t slow down any just because it was Friday.
The sale ended at noon and Dana had a bit of a nap before getting back to work herself.
Dinner was brown rice and chicken stir-fried with quail eggs, carrots, and mushrooms. I thought it turned out pretty well, though the quail eggs were not a big hit (except with Thomas, but he still eats anything that isn’t moving too fast most of the time).
