Swim Party

Today featured a few bits of scouting and lots of work. When the kids were all up, I took Kayla out to run a few errands: getting her camp medical form filled out, picking up a few things at the grocery store, kicking off an international wire transfer from our new bank (who seem perfectly content to believe that the checks I deposit are good).

Then it was home again in time for Dana to take Lindsey to tumbling and Kayla for more shopping. I worked while they were gone, then Dana came home and dropped Lindsey. Then it was time for her to take Kayla to her first overnight camp.

At the end of the afternoon we had an early dinner of burgers and fries. Dana got home again, I finished up my work for the day, and then the whole family headed down to the local community pool for the three-pack swim party, where all the Cub Scouts from Newburgh get together once a year. Adam’s definitely improving in his swimming, and the other two are coming along as well. That took us through to bedtime.

I took it easy afterwards – the next week is going to be brutal deadlines, so I gave myself the remaining couple of hours of my day off to just have a snack and read.
