Death March
Today started at 3:30 in the morning – not the nicest hour to be awake and working, but the big project is in serious deathmarch mode. At this point I just want to hold that one together, launch at the end of the month, and not have everything else come crashing down.
When it was morning for more sensible people I went out to run some errands. A visit to our insurance agent was supposed to happen, but the city was repaving right in front of their office and I simply couldn’t get there. So I contented myself with returning library books.
Other than that, my day was work interrupted by work-related phone calls. I did break long enough to stir fry some broccoli and flank steak, and serve rice with it, for dinner. Also read the kids more Oz at bedtime; that’s not something I treat as optional. Finally called it a day around 10:30 and crashed.
