Meetings
I was up a bit earlier this morning, but still couldn’t seem to get on top of things before it was time to run Lindsey out to her day camp in mid-morning. I dropped her off at the Y and then picked up a few things from Lowe’s that the house needed. There are times that I get tired of being owned by a house.
The rest of the day was a mix of code and chat, heavy on the chat. One meeting in particular just refused to come together despite three separate attempts to get everyone involved on the phone, right up to 9PM. Fortunately I was only a participant, not the one trying to organize it. In addition to clients there was phone time with some vendors and a prospective new client on the radar.
It’s getting challenging to keep up with existing clients right at the moment, because I’ve got two guys out – one with a family medical emergency and one with jury duty. Not sure what I’m going to do about that but I’m sure there’s a managerial lesson in there somewhere.
Dana took Adam and Lindsey out to karate and dinner out tonight; I fed burgers to the other two. We had two separate rounds of bedtime, with Shel Silverstein poems for both.
