Mike's Journal

It was mainly a weekend of lists and paperwork, or at least that’s the part I remember. Now that we’re moving ahead with the house sale, we’ve got a long list of things to do, most of which can’t be started until other people are back at work. But at least we’re getting organized….

We got an offer on our house today. I don’t think it would be prudent to go into great detail here, but it looks like we’re probably going to accept it. This means that life is going to be pretty busy for the next couple of months – busy enough that I may not do a very good job of keeping up this journal….

Got up at 6:45 with no particular pain in my mouth. Apart from being limited to a monotonous soft food diet, having the wisdom tooth out yesterday proved to be no big deal today. I was a bit more tired than usual, but I suspect that was just due to a lowered caloric intake….

The first part of the morning was purely routine, featuring Web work, answering e-mail, and so on. Around 10 AM we loaded everyone into the minivan and headed out to Pullman. Thomas was happy to get his new bigger-boy car seat, complete with “cowmooflage” pattern cover….

I made up for yesterday by sleeping in till 6:45. I guess that’s what counts as sleeping in these days. Spent the morning plowing through routine stuff, with breaks for schoolwork….

For some reason Lindsey decided that I needed to be up at 5:15 this morning. This would have been fine if I needed to meet deadlines, but on a potentially lazy Sunday I was less keen on the idea. I used the extra hour to go into Second Life and build some party favors for tonight’s party.

Took a migraine to bed and got up with a migraine too. As a result I had to take an Imitrex this morning, which left me (as usual) spacy and wiped out for the rest of the day….

Lindsey & Thomas tag-teamed me awake about 6:30 and I got back to work. The morning was full of kids running in all directions, schoolwork, e-mail and web sites. In other words, pretty normal….

Back to school day again, after our one-day vacation yesterday. Kayla had fun learning about killer whales, not so much fun learning about Egyptians. We may postpone history for a bit….

Up at 6:30. After I got through some routine stuff, I pushed out a letter to the Larkware advertisers soliciting ads for September and October. This should have gone out two weeks ago, but I’m getting rather disengaged from that business as all of my own thinking moves out of .NET. Ad sales still went fairly strong despite that.
