Slow Day (Sunday, May 30, 2010)

It was a pretty light day for me today – which is to say I only spent about six hours on work, the usual combination of coding and project management. I even snuck in an hour or two this morning to work on the new web site for our Cub Scout pack, which is now in my (hopefully capable) hands.

Solid Work Day (Saturday, May 29, 2010)

Today was mainly just a solid working day for me. I did a lot of project management and even managed to write some code – though the latter is clearly less of an important activity for me these days than it used to be. I like to keep my hand in though.

Play Time (Friday, May 28, 2010)

Schoolwork this morning was limited to a dress rehearsal of the kids’ Gilgamesh play. That went well, and they were happy to have the rest of the morning off. Meanwhile I got back to work, and had the most productive day I’d had all week. It helps to not be running all over creation for a change.

Too Much Running Around (Thursday, May 27, 2010)

Bright and early this morning Lindsey and I were off to do the grocery shopping. We got to the store a little after 6, and were home by 7, pretty much completely missing the rush. She got a big kick out of being awake before the rest of the world.

More Doctor (Wednesday, May 26, 2010)

We had a full rehearsal of our Gilgamesh play this morning. The plan is to put it on for an audience Friday, and the kids are excited (and perhaps a bit apprehensive) by this prospect. They’re taking it all very seriously.

Doctor Time (Tuesday, May 25, 2010)

Adam slept propped up on the couch last night, and was feeling much better this morning. I think we’re out of the woods on this one, though of course we’ll finish out the whole course of antibiotic drops just to be on the safe side.

Busy Time (Monday, May 24, 2010)

Adam didn’t sleep well, not surprisingly. He was up in the middle of the night and at that point had some more pain medicine and relocated to the couch, since sleeping a bit more upright seemed to help. Fortunately at that point he did get considerably more rest, and he did better over the course of the day.

Anniversary (Sunday, May 23, 2010)

Adam had a fairly rough night last night; he woke up around 4AM in pain from his eye. I got him settled back down with another dose of ibuprofen, but at that point I was awake myself so I got out of the tent and answered email for a bit. Lindsey was up before 5, and the boys around 6:30, to start the day.

Camping (Saturday, May 22, 2010)

Just a quick wrapup post from the past couple of days – I was off to a Cub Scout campout with three of the kids (Adam, Thomas, and Lindsey) from Friday afternoon to Sunday morning. Meanwhile Dana was off to a Girl Scout campout with Kayla on Friday night, though they joined us for a while Saturday afternoon.

Laser Tag (Thursday, May 20, 2010)

First up this morning, after breakfasts and email, was a trip to the dentist. Today’s fun was getting a tooth with an old filling ground down to get a new crown. It’s never very fun having a grinder in your mouth, but at least our dentist is competent and gets the work done quickly and with a minimum of pain. The bad part of the tooth got removed, wax impressions made for the crown, and a temporary put on in a bit over an hour.
