Birthday Party (Saturday, June 19, 2010)

It was time for another birthday party – Thomas’s birthday is Monday, but he had his party today so that some other kids could make it. So we opened family presents in the morning, and then schlepped over to Chuck E Cheese for lunch and more party.

Last Camp Day for Now (Friday, June 18, 2010)

Summer camp week ended today. All the kids had a great time but the parents are totally exhausted. I guess that’s the way it’s supposed to be, but I’m looking forward to less driving for a bit.

Managing (Thursday, June 17, 2010)

Today wasn’t too bad on the running around front. I got the boys up early and took them back to their camp; despite being exhausted yesterday, they were excited again this morning so I take that as a good camp experience. Then I did the grocery shopping for the week, and still managed to get home before Dana was back from dropping girls off.

Camp Madness (Wednesday, June 16, 2010)

This was a day of even more running around with kids, since all four of them are in camp for the rest of the week. I got Adam and Thomas up early so that they could be fed and the three of us out the door by 7:30. I drove them down to the local Scout Center so that they could spend the day at Cub Scout Day Camp. Got home to find an empty house, because Dana had taken the girls off to their camps.

More Running Around (Tuesday, June 15, 2010)

Up early again for a bit of work before another fun day of running around. Sure is nice that the kids are in camp so we can relax a bit.

Summer Camp Time (Monday, June 14, 2010)

I was up early this morning and got a bit of work done before dawn. Just as well, because much of the day was taken up with running around as our first week of serious summer camps got underway.

Blueberry Barbecue (Sunday, June 13, 2010)

Mostly a stay-at-home working day for me, with a few breaks. I didn’t get as many hours in as I would have liked, but I caught up on a few things, and the client-free time was much appreciated.

Bike Rodeo (Saturday, June 12, 2010)

This morning was our local Cub Scout pack’s Bike Rodeo. Adam elected to skip it, but Thomas and I went and had a good time. Of course he rode his bike all over the course, while I got shanghaied into running one of the stations and so got to work with all the boys. Thomas ended up winning the award for “positive attitude,” which was a nice start in scouting for him. It was also brutally hot and humid, and after a few hours we were ready to come home and relax.

Nothing Much (Friday, June 11, 2010)

It was an end-of-the-week sort of day for me. I had a bunch to do, but I ran out of energy early, and ended up taking the evening off to just read. Computers will wait till tomorrow.

Crowned (Thursday, June 10, 2010)

After my usual round of email and organization, the first order of business for today was another trip to the dentist. This time it was to get the temporary crown off and the permanent crown on. It was fairly routine, though there was some time spent grinding a point off the mating tooth so everything would fit together well.
