End of Another Week (Friday, March 2, 2007)

Thomas woke up at 4AM, with a full bladder. I know his bladder was full because his diaper overflowed on to the floor before I managed to finish rushing him to the bathroom to use the potty. I managed to get him snuggled back to bed after changing him, so he apparently wasn’t traumatized by the experience.

Immunizations = Wah! (Thursday, March 1, 2007)

Started my day with a pair of battles, first with some software, and then with my boss. That was capped off with the usual 8AM overseas conference call, so the first part of the day was pretty much no fun, all the time.

Slogging Along (Wednesday, February 28, 2007)

Adam was up super early for some reason, showing up next to our bed at 5AM. He went back down to his bed, but he didn’t go back to sleep, and popped right back up when I went to the kitchen at 6AM. So as a result we managed to get through schoolwork early, which was nice….

Cranky Computers (Tuesday, February 27, 2007)

Thomas continues to be the most energetic of children. He pretty much bounds everywhere, and is always full of hugs and chatter. Fun, but sometimes hard to keep up with. Meanwhile, Adam and Kayla both slept in for some reason today. And Lindsey, I can report, likes English muffins.

Wild Children (Monday, February 26, 2007)

I spent the first part of my morning fighting with some software that just plain would not install properly on the Mac. This and That (Sunday, February 25, 2007)

I actually managed to sleep in until 7:30 before Thomas came charging into our bedroom, little bundle of energy that he is. Still, that was an hour of extra sleep, and I was happy for it.

Chilly Night (Saturday, February 24, 2007)

We had a cold wind come up from the east overnight. This is bad because our office/bedroom window faces east, and about 4:30 this morning I woke up to realize I was freezing. I closed the window and threw on an extra blanket, but I finally gave up and had a hot bath around 6AM to recover….

Slacker Day (Friday, February 23, 2007)

There was more early morning chat time with my boss and a lot of e-mail sent, but other than that this was not a particularly grueling work day. Well, I did spend some time trying to explain to one of our customers that they’d messed up their SSL certificate renewal. But mostly I was just burned out again and took it easy on myself.

Shopping Day Again (Thursday, February 22, 2007)

Got up at 6:30, which gave me time to answer a bunch of e-mail before I had to hop on the phone for a conference call with our Bulgarian clients and then a long chat with my boss. The flip side to setting my own hours is that sometimes I have to work some pretty absurd hours in order to have time to myself….

Back to School (Wednesday, February 21, 2007)

Lindsey got up early with me, and scattered another cupcake around for her breakfast. Most of it went into her. She certainly didn’t let any of the frosting get away.
