Just Work
Today was another day of almost purely managerial work. We took it fairly easy in school this morning; for the most part, I just had the kids do some reading in the books that they checked out yesterday, and chat about what they’d learned.
After lunch I hopped on the phone, and there I stayed for the next hours. I didn’t have a chance to write any code at all until after dinner, but I worked hard before. I’m not actually social enough to spend this much time schmoozing with people, but I don’t have a choice right at the moment.
Dana went out to karate by herself tonight. I fed the kids hot dogs and corn, and read them stories at bedtime, and then worked another hour or so after they were in bed while I had a late snack myself.
