Happy Fireworks Day
We didn’t do anything in particular for the 4th, other than relax a bit. I wrote some code, but I also took a big chunk of the evening off. Not that I wanted to shoot off fireworks; the neighbors were doing a good enough job of threatening to burn down the area without me.
The kids had fun proclaiming that they were happily independent and running around all day. Dana made some barbecued chicken, corn on the cob, and scalloped potatoes for dinner.
We let the kids stay up a bit late to watch fireworks out their windows (not like they could avoid watching, given the warzone like atmosphere) and eventually I read them a story and crashed myself.
