Picnic Time
Today’s main event was the new Tiger Cub picnic. Well, that and coding, but the coding is a constant currently. I spent the morning in front of the computer, making progress on things and worrying about progress management, as usual.
Late in the morning I took a break to pack lunches, and then we all went down to the Newburgh Lock & Dam to meet other folks bringing new boys into our pack this year. There were 5 other families there, including the other den leaders, and we chatted some about the program and what to expect while the boys & their siblings ran around and played. We called it a day after about 90 minutes – the heat index was already over 100 – but I think everyone had fun.
Back home, it was more coding time until I put together chicken, mac and cheese, salad, and green beans for dinner, and then even more coding time after. Things are coming together on the largest project, though only at the cost of ignoring a bunch of other projects.
