Billing Day

First order of business today was to send out bills. Despite a couple days in the woods, it was our best billable month ever, so that’s good. I also had to spend some time on dunning, which is bad. I guess it all balances out.

That blended right into schoolwork, and it was close to noon before I got any substantial work done. But from there I just kept cranking for the rest of the day, keeping the ball in the air on a bunch of projects and even recruiting a new subcontractor for one more. There’s also another $100,000 worth of business I was asked to quote on, though I have no idea how we’d fit it in on any reasonable timescale.

Dana, Adam and Lindsey went to karate tonight. The rest of us had rice, shrimp, and corn for dinner, a meal that was enjoyed by all. There was also salad for me, of course.

Adam’s bedtime question, after we read yet another round of Oz: “Do you suppose they have free wi-fi in Oz?”
