Crash!
I started off my day today by deploying the new web site for our Cub Scout pack. It’s not a lot (yet) but it’s a whole lot better than we had before. That was a nice little accomplishment to start things off. Then I dropped Kayla at her Girl Scout day camp and did the grocery shopping.
Of course there were a lot of messages and mail piled up when I got home, and it took a while to deal with those and to do some schoolwork with the other kids. I was getting settled into a groove in the afternoon when things turned ugly. First my laptop overheated and shut itself down, and then our mail server decided to crash.
Both of those ultimately got fixed, but by the time I was done handling problems I’d long since lost any coding momentum. I went out and spread compost in the garden for a while to calm down, then took it easy for the rest of the day.
Dana went to karate tonight, and took Lindsey with her. Lindsey had a good time and listened well, so perhaps she’ll be our next black belt. Meanwhile, I fed the other kids pizza and dialed in to a 7PM conference call to end my working day.
