Monday Monday

I was awake and at my desk reasonably early this morning, but, well, it was Monday and so productivity was elusive. When everyone else in the universe comes back from a weekend it sometimes seems as if half of them have questions for me to deal with.

My morning was divided roughly evenly between sysadmin work on a few servers, getting the kids through the first part of their school day, and cleaning up bills and such on my desk. From there, it gradually turned into “oh by the way” day, with a bunch of customers asking if they’d mentioned particular requirements (which of course they hadn’t). Not to complain, though; having work is still much better than the alternative.

I did manage a bit of coding work in the afternoon, but it was mostly directed at particular sudden requirements rather than planned advances. There was also a 45-minute demo phone call with one client to make sure my day was broken up a bit more.

For dinner, I made spaghetti along with garlic bread and salad – always a crowd pleaser. Snow arrived late in the evening, with 2-4 inches predicted overnight. Fortunately we’re not supposed to get anything like the epic snow that the east coast has been having.
