Just Another Day

The day started off with a small flurry of code changes, mostly to fix things I’d messed up when I was working in an overtired state last night. Kids woke up, as kids do, and we moved on into schoolwork mode.

I worked on through the morning, then went out and ran a few errands – mail drop, buying light bulbs (which this house always eats at an alarming rate), bank. Nothing too substantial but at least I was able to manage the driving with minimal pain.

Late in the afternoon I settled down to a day of code, punctuated by a phone call to the PM on another project in which we brainstormed solutions to an apparently intractable problem. One of Dana’s karate friends came over in the evening, and I made roasted pork loin, rice, and cauliflower casserole for dinner.

Got the kids to bed, wrote code for another hour, and called it a night.
