Attempting the Impossible

The morning started out with the usual batch of kids and some schoolwork. By the time everyone was awake and I’d handed out some reading assignments to the older two, it was time to be out the door with the younger two. We went to Thomas’s “All-Stars” class at the Y, followed by a round of grocery shopping, and were home about lunchtime.

From there, I was pretty much immersed in work for the rest of the day. We got a sudden burst of last-minute requirements on a project that’s been dragging, and I worked with one of our subcontractors to try to implement as much as possible, though it was clearly unable to deliver everything. Hopefully it’ll be enough to impress the client.

Dana took off for karate in the evening, and dropped Adam off at his den meeting. I fed the others pizza, and later we all loaded into the van to go pick him up. So everyone got out of the house for at least a few minutes today.

Finally knocked off working around 11PM and crawled into bed about midnight.
