Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day started off with cards and candy exchanging in various directions. The kids had their big chunks of candy for breakfast, and some of them overdid, but what do you expect at this age? Everyone was appropriately happy and loved in the long run.
It was another day of coding for me. The big security update
that one of our clients wanted is nearly done, and various other projects are swimming along, though we’re pushing pretty hard on deadlines. I think they’ll all be successes though eventually.
I took a break in mid-morning to run out to the grocery store for milk and a few other odds and ends. Later on some of these went into dinner: Pork loin served with sauteed pears and raspberries and a pear gravy, couscous, fruit, salads. It was a nice dinner only slightly set back by a bottle of grape non-alcoholic fizzy that came without much fizz.
I worked a bit more after dinner, then took an hour or so off to clean up my desktops (real and virtual) before calling it a night. Snow arrived late in the evening and was coming down hard by this point.
