End of the Work Week
Kids had a good school morning today: along with our usual classes, we also started digging into a new Vex Robotics kit that one of our friends had sent over for the small fry. Today we just unpacked and inventoried the pieces, but even that was enough to excite them.
When I was done being professor dad, it was time to get back into the work week. There’s still plenty to do, and to add to the fun, one of our clients just approved 20 hours of extra work that they want done by close of business on Monday (they’re responding to pressure from one of their own business clients). Fortunately I think they’ve overestimated the work.
Dana took Lindsey out to tumbling and shopping around midday; the others stayed home for their regular lunch and afternoon of playing and squabbling. Meanwhile, I wrote lots of code and tried to keep on top of everything.
We had a nice dinner of salmon, noodles, and peas, along with a salad. Managed a little cautious exercise after the kids were in bed, worked for another hour, and then called it quits for the night.
