Insomnia
Another rough night, this one mixing insomnia with nerve pain. I ended up working from 3:30 to 5AM or so before catching another hour of sleep. Then of course kids woke up and it was time to start the day.
We got a bit of snow overnight – our first of the season – so of course the kids wanted to go out and play in it after schoolwork time. It was also very cold and dry, so they didn’t last long; this is definitely not snowman snow. This led to a round of hot baths to warm up and pretty well disrupted the middle of our day.
Much of the afternoon went for writing code, with interruptions for several long phone calls. As I shift more from coding to project management, my time on the phone inevitably increases. Not the most enjoyable thing for a hermit but you’ve got to follow the money.
Leftover night for dinner, since there was lots piled up in the fridge.
