Brownie Awards
The morning was nothing special – schoolwork, project management, and coding. Thomas is really enjoying reading the story of Gilgamesh for his reading class; we’re up to the point where he battles the fierce monster Humbaba, and he’s starting to read in a very fierce voice.
Gradually the day shifted over to all coding. Dana took the kids out for lunch and a bit of shoe shopping, and I half-watched the iPad announcement (I’m not in the least interested in another closed device) while I had my lunch. Then it was back to work.
We had an early dinner so the whole family could go to Kayla’s Brownie awards ceremony. It was a few hours of excited little girls, crafts, and parental chitchat. I took lots of photos for the Brownie archives, and everyone seemed to have a good time, even our other kids.
The day wound down pretty quickly after that. I didn’t manage to get any more work done, and crashed early and achy.
