Hard at Work

Kids and schoolwork filled my morning, as they often do. Things are going fairly well on the homeschool front; Adam and Kayla are working in a fifth-grade spelling book, Thomas is demonstrating some math talent, and Lindsey has started reading random words she spots around the house. Things like that make it worth the effort.

Meanwhile, there’s work to be done. I would have gotten more of it done today if I hadn’t spent a bunch of time on sales calls and emails. On the other hand I did sign two new contracts today.

There was plenty of management to do as my various teams move towards deadlines. Somehow I also found time to write a batch of code myself. It’s a living.

I made meat loaf for dinner, and Dana added salad, mac and cheese, and green beans. This was a meal that everyone enjoyed, which was good.

Evening wound down in a flurry of code commits, bedtime stories, and exercise.
