Nothing Much
Woke up achy in the middle of the night; this neck thing still comes and goes. This time it mostly came, and I gave up pretending to sleep around 4AM and came down to my desk.
In theory, this should have allowed me to have a very productive day. In practice, I lost a few hours to software reinstalls first thing, and so only got an average amount of work done. Sometimes it seems apparent that computers hate me, and it’s more or less mutual.
Adam had his first basketball class at the Y today; Dana took him. Apparently he was enthusiastic but not very good, which is fine. As long as he’s having fun and getting some exercise I don’t much care whether he wins. He’s also started reading some of the Cthulhu mythos stories, after developing an online interest. This is good for his vocabulary, so I’m not complaining.
Dana was off to a scrapbooking deal this afternoon, and I stayed home with the kids. It was a pretty uneventful day. Kayla had some problems with a computer game, so I showed her Garage Band, and she spent the rest of the day happily composing music.
Dinner was grilled chicken breasts, couscous, salad, and peaches. Afterwards, we started on a new Oz book – Rinkitink in Oz – and I got a bit of exercising done before bed.
