Coding Away

It was another 5AM day; I seem to be back into not-quote-unreasonable waking up territory. Got through email and a few other odds and ends before it was time to drive Kayla out to day camp again. She had a good time yesterday and was happy to be heading out this morning, though with a bit of trepidation about the planned canoeing.

Back home, I wrote code and took care of a few errands. After lunch, the other kids and I did some light schoolwork – current events, and some reading for the little ones, and some history for Adam. We seem to be having a semi-vacation week while Kayla is at camp.

Spent most of the afternoon writing code for a client who wants to deploy a new version this weekend.

Dana left in the afternoon to pick up Kayla, and then take the older kids to karate. The younger two had naps, and then we had some leftovers for dinner. Pretty quiet evening, which was good because there was a Rails security issue that I had to patch on a bunch of servers.

Got the kids to bed when the rest of the family was home, did some bench presses, and called it a night.
