Not the Best of Days
Got up at 5 and got through some email, including getting out a quote for a job that KGN landed today. Then it was time to pack Thomas into the truck and deliver him to the zoo. He’s quite enjoying being off at a camp without parental or sibling supervision.
Back home, I spent an enormous amount of time on a software deployment for RailsBridge – like, all day, without finishing it. This was a nuisance, and it was unbillable, which made it an annoying nuisance. I finally knocked off in the afternoon when Dana headed off to karate, and did some billable work – which turned out to be mainly deploying a site for a customer.
For dinner, the kids and I had hot dogs, texas toast, and pineapple. I had a salad too, to give the meal some semblance of adult nutrition.
Got through the evening and put the kids to bed at the regular hour. Then I had to get up at 11 to get Kayla some cough syrup, and at 1 because Lindsey was suddenly wakeful. So not the most restful of nights either.
