Productivity Fail

The day started early (4:30) and with some good news – contract confirmed from last night, and a potential lead on a little bit more work. Hopefully the universe is going to loosen up and deliver some more work to my door soon.

I managed to get a little bit of coding and a fair amount of project management done this morning, as well as a quick run out to our accountant’s office and the bank. Got back to discover that Adam was having another bad-schoolwork morning. Ultimately Dana took the other three kids out to lunch, and I stayed home and had a long talk with him about his behavior.

That pretty much put a halt to my productivity for the day. I tried to get back to it in the afternoon, but just couldn’t get started. I guess it was just too many grinding days in a row, and time for me to take a bit of time off.

So I did, and read a bit and played on the computer and wrote some for-fun code. The kids had taco meat and rice and pineapple for dinner, I had a salad, and Dana went out for a movie night with some friends. Eventually things wound down and I just called it a day.
