Too Busy

I was awake at 5Am and somehow that was just barely enough to get through the day. There seem to be a lot of things piled up on my desk just now. It didn’t help any that there’s still some sort of cold running through the family.

We did some minimal schoolwork this morning to try to keep some momentum going, and then I turned my attention towards code. Over the course of the day I had my fingers into about four different projects, a mix of coding, design, testing, and deployment work. Kept me hopping.

In the afternoon, I took a break to take the three younger kids to their tumbling class, which they enjoyed as always.

For dinner, I made noodles with meat sauce, which actually got largely eaten, though kids still have strange quirks about what they will and won’t eat. After dinner, there was a few minutes spent out in the yard weeding. The Japanese beetles have put in an appearance on the rosebushes again, so I’ll have to do something about that.

The day wound down with Kayla losing a baby tooth just before our few chapters of Oz.
