Book Launch
Back at my desk at 5:30 to try to salvage something out of the weekend. I managed to get a few hours of client work in, but the biggest effort went into ebook launch.
I did manage to pull it off, and the Rails Rescue Handbook site is live now and announced via Twitter – which was enough to sell 10 or 15 copies in the initial burst of interest. Next step is to do some serious marketing, both for the book and for the consulting business that I hope will follow off of it.
Meanwhile, there was random other stuff to accomplish during the day: more presents for Thomas to open (since he fell asleep before he could get to them all yesterday), Father’s Day cards for me, cleanup in house and yard, and the other usual detritus of life.
For dinner, we had corned beef hash and green beans. Adam pretty much entirely refused to eat, but at least he was polite about it. The rest of us enjoyed the meal.
After dinner, got kids to bed, got myself back to lifting, and wound down for the day.
