Writing Day
The kids were in fine fettle this morning, fighting with each other pretty much from the moment they got up. I finally sent three out of four to their rooms around 8AM to calm things down. Of course I had to let them out half an hour later to take Thomas and Kayla to camp, but at least there was peace for a few minutes.
I spent this morning fixing a few small code bugs, but then the bulk of the day went to writing. I’m almost done with a self-published Rails book (well, actually, the book is done but I still need to spin up the associated web site to sell it). Dunno how it will do as a business venture, but have to keep throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.
Late in the afternoon I had to break to take Adam over to his tumbling class; fortunately I could drag the laptop along and do more writing there. Then it was home to make dinner: pork cutlets, macaroni and cheese, snow peas, salad. Kids surprise me sometimes – everyone but Adam enjoyed the snow peas.
The evening wound down with more writing and then returning to Oz for another few chapters.
