Frustration
My day started off well enough around 5AM with the usual morning cleanup, but then it went south. Spent way too much time trying to deal with some Rails deployment problems on one site, to the point where I didn’t get much effective work done on anything else.
I did manage a few more pages of the ebook I’m working on, and put it out for some alpha feedback. So at least that was progress.
By dinnertime, though, I’d reached the point of needing to just step away from the keyboard for the rest of the night. I made baked chicken, roasted potatoes, and green beans for dinner. Thomas, Kayla, and Lindsey thought it was great – the younger two had seconds of everything. Adam wouldn’t touch it and ended up getting sent to his room.
Lindsey fell asleep early on the couch, so I just had two kids when it was time to read one of our favorites from Just So Stories and go to bed.
