End of the Week

Up at 5AM to the signs of more overnight thunderstorms. Our sprinklers aren’t going to need running this week.

After dropping Kayla off for her last day of camp, I swung by Walmart for a few things that only they appear to carry (like the light bulbs that this house requires in the kitchen) and then visited the bank yet again to pick up the paperwork from yesterday.

Got a bit more work done than yesterday, though some projects are stalled waiting on other people, which is annoying.

For dinner we had a slow-cooked pork butt that turned out quite well, rice, and corn on the cob. Everyone seemed to enjoy this.

Bedtime was two chapters of Oz – and as luck would have it, they were long chapters, so kids weren’t tucked in until nearly 10.
