Stormy Day
We had tremendous thunderstorms, complete with hail and tornado warnings, overnight. I managed to sleep through the bulk of it, though I did get up a few times to turn off the weather radio alarms. Got up for good around 5:30, by which point the storm was past.
Took Kayla off to camp again and then stopped at our bank to do a little business. Their computer was giving them fits, so I ended up leaving a list of the account changes I needed made behind and heading home.
When I got there, I switched to the minivan, loaded up the rest of the family, and the five of us went grocery shopping. This was a bit restocking week for us, and we filled up two carts very full, and correspondingly depleted the bank account. Kids were very well behaved and got candy bars at the end.
Back home, I spent the afternoon on cleaning up a bunch of nonpaying tasks: installing software, doing some writing, helping a few people out. Dana went off to pick up Kayla with Lindsey along, and they got caught in another round of tornado warning, sheltering in a pizza joint and having dinner. The boys and I had tacos and fruit for dinner. Thomas spent a lot of time watching the weather coverage on TV; he’s very interested whenever the alarms start going off.
Eventually the weather calmed down, Dana went out to the movies with our neighbor, and I got everyone else to bed.
