Running Around

Thomas got me out of bed about 4:30. If it’s not one kid in the early morning it’s another. Well, this let me get at least some of my desk cleared before it was time to run Kayla out to camp again, although I got distracted by a site deployment.

Stopped at my bank on the way home, but the manager I needed to see wasn’t there. Fortunately the business wasn’t urgent and I can try again tomorrow.

Back home, I spent the bulk of the day writing client code, in around interruptions. The major one of these was taking Adam to his tumbling class at 4. Dana had been out with the other kids, picking up Kayla, and when she’d collected the whole brood she left them with me and swapped cars so I could bring the lot of them home. Logistics of life are complex sometimes.

Dana made fajitas and rice and fruit for dinner while I tried to handle email again. Then it went into an evening of writing code until my brain was too tired to continue. Fortunately it was about time to put kids to bed at that point, so I did and then curled up with a book to relax for a little while.
