Code and Stuff
Kids would have let me sleep a bit this morning, as it turned out, but my back insisted it was time to get up at 5:30. So it goes. Most of today I was plopped in front of the computer, either setting up software on servers or writing more code to be deployed to servers later. It was a pretty productive day, although somehow my task list doesn’t seem to be getting any shorter.
One amusing note was a message from the ultimate customer on the main project I’m working on, asking for a complete UI change in the area I’ve just spent all week building. Fortunately it’s the project manager’s problem to deal with that, not mine.
Tiffany took out older three kids out to the movies this afternoon. Fortunately Lindsey was asleep when they left, thus avoiding the potential screaming fit.
For dinner, I made some stir-fried chicken with rice cooked in chicken stock. Turned out well.
Wound down after dinner, put kids to bed, and had a nice long relaxing bath before I crashed myself.
