Platelets

I was up at 5AM today – the first time I’ve really beaten the sun out of bed in a while. I needed the extra 30 minutes, though, as this morning was just too busy. That’s because I had to do my usual round of homeschool teaching and finish up my writing assignments for the day in time to head over to the Red Cross at lunchtime. There I gave another platelet donation. It was pretty routine again, and that makes 77 pints for me.

After I was done there, I stopped off at Walmart to do a bit of shopping. Among other things, our milk consumption has reached close to a gallon a day now.

Back home, I spent too long catching up on email, and then settled in to write a bit of code. Made good progress on current assignments, though it’s looking like the end of the week will be a mad rush.

For dinner, we had a baked pork loin with bacon, dinner rolls, and peas. The littler kids were napping when I served but woke up and ate late. After dinner, the kids went nuts with playdoh while I banged out a tiny bit more code.
