Donated Again

Oddly enough, it was foggy – though still in the 70s – when I got up at 5:30 this morning. I’m still getting used to the weather in this area. The fog burned off early, of course, and morning schoolwork set in. Kids were fairly well-behaved through it today, and though it took till 11AM, we accomplished quite a bit.

After that, I had time to clear up a bit of email before I headed out to the Red Cross for another apheresis donation – #76 of my lifetime (well, some of those are whole blood donations). It was purely routine this time, for which I was just as happy.

I stopped off at our bank on the way home to fuss a bit with the way we have some accounts set up, and then came on home and dug back in. After 3 hours away my inbox was substantially full, so I dealt with that for a while and then wrote some code.

Dinner was sausage and shrimp, salt potatoes, and corn. Everyone ate, wonder of wonders, and we had dessert all around.

After dinner, I did some writing to get a jump on tomorrow’s assignments, and looked over a few open source projects that I’m considering contributing to.
