Rough Night

I probably shouldn’t have done any weightlifting last night. Even with being careful, it exacerbated the existing muscle sprain in my back, and I had a hell of a night. Then to add to the fun, Lindsey puked in the middle of the night and we had to clean her and her bed up. I Moved to the softer couch from the harder bed after a while, and finally got up around 4:30 when sleep was completely elusive. At least that let me get an early start on coding for the day. Just as well, as there were serious problems on two of the sites I’ve been working with. I got one of them sorted out and reverted the other to an older version so I could diagnose.

By the time that was done, it was time to feed older kids and run them out to the zoo for another day of camp. I stopped on the way home to buy milk and make a bank deposit – first of the month means that some customers are paying, hooray.

My day at that point split between coding and writing, mostly coding. It was nicely productive.

In the afternoon, Dana headed out to pick up the kids. She took Thomas along and the whole bunch of them went to karate as well. Meanwhile, I stayed home with a sick Lindsey. We both napped a bit, and had a light dinner (she wanted grapes, fruit, and a pop tart, which I didn’t argue with – having any food stay down was an improvement).

Eventually the rest of the family came home, Kayla spent some time in the next door pool, and I read everyone to sleep.
