Movie Time
It’s definitely summer here – last night’s low was in the high 70s, and it’s muggy. I got out reasonably early this morning to mow the weeds in the front lawn, and to water the veggies: the first tiny tomato has appeared. Dana and Adam were off to karate early today, since it was belt testing day and Adam was testing. I stayed home with the other kids and wrote code for most of the day.
Around 3PM I loaded the other kids in the truck, and we met the rest of the family, and a good many karate people, over at the local movie theater for a showing of Kung Fu Panda. The kids all enjoyed it, and even Lindsey was reasonably quiet in the theater. Me? I’m not a movie person; I napped as much as I could and just waited for it all to be over.
Back home, I got myself some dinner (the kids had loaded up on popcorn and candy, and waited till almost bedtime to want any food) and then put together another bookshelf as part of my continuing quest to some day finish moving.
