Red Cross Day
Got up at 5 and had a quick shower before trying to get some work done. Of course, this worked about as well as usual since the kids were up at their usual early hour. So it was off to another morning of schoolwork. I finished teaching and banging together my paid writing for the day, and then it was time to head out the door. After stops at the bank and the gas station ($100 worth of gas in the truck, and that didn’t even fill it), I was over at the Red Cross to donate another unit of platelets. This was purely routine, and I passed an hour or so watching TV while I got drained and centrifuged.
Back home, I had some late lunch and then tried to write code. I got some done, but soon enough it was dinnertime. We had spaghetti and salad and fruit – the girls surprised me by both asking for salad. Adam didn’t surprise me by refusing to eat the spaghetti because there were tomatoes in the sauce.
