Water Meter

I was up early today to get some work done, but the kids were up early too, which foiled that idea. Instead we spent the morning doing schoolwork – except for Thomas, who was off to visit some neighbor kids for a playdate. After school was over, I took Lindsey and headed out to do some grocery shopping. She had a grand time in the store, acting cute and advising me on what to buy.

Back home, Dana had discovered that the water people had snuck in some time in the past day or two and left us a new water meter (which is one of the things that had to happen ahead of the sprinklers we’re having put in later this summer). That meant I no longer had to preserve all the underground locator markings for the time being, and so I went out and mowed some more of the lawn.

The afternoon was mainly for work, other than that. Dana headed out to her quilt guild this evening; the rest of us had salmon, mac and cheese, and corn for dinner.
