I had a bad night with my back and gave up and hit the computer around 4AM. Dana had it worse, though – it’s her turn for whatever creeping crud we’re passing around. Fortunately, Thomas seems largely recovered, though his appetite is still a bit off. I spent the bulk of my day writing code, with occasional trips to water the garden or wash the dishes or ride herd on the kids. Once again I’m scraping the bottom of my own personal bucket of tasks, though there is plenty more to be done on this project.
I also caught up on my bookkeeping, which had been sorely neglected lately. It’s good to see that we aren’t broke yet.
For dinner, I made some sausage, rice and noodles, corn, and salad. Coupled with some disgusting 4th of July sugar cookies from the grocery store bakery, and the kids all ate.
After dinner I spent a few more hours on sysadmin stuff, helping with the launch of Dana’s new site. Then I managed to get kids to bed, and myself. Even Lindsey is settling down OK after a story these days, though she requires her own separate story half an hour later than everyone else.
