Dinner Battles
Thomas woke me up out of a sound sleep at 5AM and the day was off. My morning was mainly spent writing – we had a short school day because there was just too much to be done. Most of that was reading a bit more Shakespeare with the older kids and a bit more “the ant can sit on the sand” with Thomas. I got my writing assignments for the day mostly cleaned up in the morning, and headed over to the Red Cross to donate another batch of platelets. This was donation #75 for me, and it went perfectly routinely.
Back home after picking up the mail, I spent some time deep in codeland. The main project I’m working on now is coming along well, with plenty to be done.
For dinner, I grilled corn on the cob and chicken breasts, and oven-roasted some potatos. Lately dinner has not been too pleasant as Kayla has reached an age of refusing to even try things, let alone eat them. We got through, but it was a trying night.
Helped bathe some kids, did a bit more work, and went off to bed.
