Normal Day
I was up at 5 and sorting out the last couple of things I needed to post this morning. Then came a few hours of schoolwork. Midsummer Night’s Dream is an unexpected hit; both Kayla and Adam are getting into it. After schoolwork, I headed out to pick up a few things at Target, and then did the grocery shopping for the week. After the last few weeks of hauling kids around, it was unexpectedly efficient to do the shopping alone.
Back home, I ended up on the phone for a quick meeting, and then bounced around from one project to another for the rest of the afternoon.
Dana was off to a quilting meeting, so she missed dinner at home. The rest of us had beef and noodles, with fruit and salad. Kayla once again refused to eat the dreaded noodles, and her night went downhill from there.
Eventually I read some more Doctor Dolittle to put the kids to bed, did my exercises, and then went on up myself. Dana got home as I was in the middle of this and crashed reasonably early herself.
