Bad Internet Day
It was “back to school” for the family again this morning. Fortunately the kids didn’t give us any particular trouble about this, and we got through morning schoolwork pretty easily. I managed to finish up my daily writing assignments before lunch, which cleared the decks to get some coding work done. Unfortunately, that was not to be, because our T1 connection crashed about 1PM – and stayed down till 10:30. I am rather annoyed, as this is the second extended outage we’ve had this year from Qwest. This is not acceptable in what is supposed to be business-class service. I doubt we’ll be renewing our contract with them.
I did a bit of work that I could do without connectivity, and mowed some lawn, but it was a thoroughly unproductive day.
Late in the afternoon, we loaded the whole family into the minivan and took off. We stopped at our mail place, and then had dinner at Culver’s (a regional chain). The food was good and the kids enjoyed it, but unfortunately my stomach was pretty badly upset a couple of hours later. Just coincidence, I hope.
Got the kids to bed at their regular hour, pushed some weights around, and fell sound asleep myself.
