Writing More Code

I was up at 5:15, avoiding being woken out of a sound sleep by kids. If I’d gone back to sleep they would have barged in at 6AM, leaving me groggy. I was pretty groggy as it was, but at least avoided being too snappish. Anyhow, got through the morning of breakfasts and the kids went off to play with each other. I brought in three more cartons of books from the garage and shelved them; there’s getting to be a tiny bit of floor space out there, but I’m running out of room for books inside.

I settled down in front of the computer to work on a couple of big projects – getting another server set up and doing some massive refactoring. The latter got more done on it than the former, but both made good progress.

Dana, meanwhile, took Adam out to karate, where he got his first belt promotion.

For dinner, I made burgers, mac and cheese, and fruit – a meal that went over well.

After dinner, it was all I could do to stay awake for the kids bedtime before crawling off to sleep myself.
