Exercising
Now I seem to be wired to wake up at 5:30, eek. I expect this won’t last, though. Homeschooling this morning went well. The kids are enjoying having a special unit on China to replace some of their regular classes. I’ll have to keep that in mind while planning future weeks.
After school & writing duties were over, I headed out to do some shopping. First stop was WalMart, where I picked up a stationery bicycle for Dana and some free weights for myself. Then it was time to hit the grocery store where I bought more than usual; we were out of a lot of stuff.
By the time I got home Dana had taken the kids out for lunch, so I had a bit of quiet time to eat my own lunch. Then I spent most of the afternoon coding, with a break around dinnertime for some more assembly chores on new purchases.
For dinner, Adam and Dana made lasagna. It turned out well, except that Adam refused to eat any because it had tomatoes in it.
After the kids were in bed, I ran through about half an hour of calisthenics and work with weights. I’m definitely out of shape, especially compared to the last time (20 years ago) that I did any lifting. So, I’m starting slowly, and hopefully will build up some muscle mass again after a while.
